BT100 Series Testers
Sartech is the European distributor for WS Technologies Inc who design and manufacture the market leading BT100 series testers. These hand-held testers are implemented by building a digital radio receiver into a CF card which plugs into a palmtop com
puter (PDA).
Several models are available:
BT100A provides a comprehensive test for any 406/121.5MHz beacon (EPIRB/PLB/ELT)
BT100S has all the functionality of the BT100A, with the additional ability to perform frequency stability measurements. This will be of interest mainly to beacon developers and manufacturers, as well as test laboratories carrying out approval tests.
BT100AV is designed to test 3-frequency aviation beacons (ELTs) which transmit on the military homing frequency of 243MHz in addition to 406/121.5MHz.
BT100AVS has all the facilities of the BT100AV, with the additional ability to perform frequency stability measurements. This will be of interest mainly to beacon developers and manufacturers, as well as test laboratories carrying out approval tests.
LimitTester is a software facilty that produces a PASS/FAIL report based on defined limits for each parameter. The basic version offers a low cost solution with results based on standard COSPAS-SARSAT limits. The advanced version allows customised reports with user-defined limits, for instance for production line quality control.
Any of the above BT100 testers can be supplied with the optional ruggedized PDA instead of the standard consumer PDA. Just add -R to the order code - e.g. BT100A-R.
Perfect for marine or any rough environment! This Tester can handle the toughest field conditions. It meets MIL-STD-810F standards for drops, vibration and temperature extremes, and it has an IP67 rating—meaning it's impervious to dust and water immersion.
